Mr. Abdul Rehman, Research Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, Punjab Agricultural Research Board (PARB) has vast experience in research and planning. He joined Cotton Research Institute, AARI, Faisalabad as Assistant Research Officer in defunct Punjab Agricultural Research Coordination Board (PARCB) funded project Titled “Breeding for high oil content varieties of cotton” in 1986. His duties include working on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and soxhlet apparatus/equipment in laboratories for estimation of oil, protein %age in the whole cotton seed and other biochemical analysis. On expiry of the project, he joined Punjab Agricultural Research Board (PARB) in 1992 as research officer, where his duties were to assist in implementation of World Bank funded project ARP-II. Mr. Abdul Rehman completed his M.Sc (Biochemistry) in 1986 and M.Phil (Biochemistry) in 1989 from UAF. Recently he assisted in preparation and finalization of Projects titled “Strengthening of PARB” and “Funding of High Priority Research through Competitive Grant System (CGS)”. So he is dealing with project preparation and implementation for over twenty years. Now a day he is assisting Executive Member (monitoring and evaluation) in monitoring of PARB funded CGS projects. He has five research papers published in national research journals.
